Been a while since I posted on here

I know that it has been a while since I posted on here. I got busy finishing the Spring semester at school and then got busy on finishing my ebook. Time management is not my friend! I am praying that it will be in tester stage by the end of next week.

Some of you may have noticed that the pictures on this blog are no longer around. That is because someone took them from the Disboutiquer's Photobucket account and I found them elsewhere on the web and no it wasn't to compliment my work or refer back to this blog or the Disboutiquers. I had to break the links in my Photobucket account and the Disboutiquer's Photobucket account to break the link to the unauthorized site. I do not want my pictures on other websites. No one has been given permission to use my photos for their own use, because no one has ever asked for it. I also had some of the things that I have made copied and sold as their own and that does not sit well with me. If you want to copy something that I have made for your own child, niece, nephew, cousin etc. feel free, but if you want to copy to sell you need my permission or at least don't claim it as your own.

OK, I am off my soapbox.

I will be contacting my testers by email when the ebook is ready for testing. They have already been selected.

Sorry for not posting!

I have not posted on here in a while. I have been super busy. I am at the end of the Spring semester in school and I have a ton of stuff to get done there. I have also been working on the ebook. Slow going there. I had to completely redo the front of the original draft. Now it is completely different than the original, but is now more adorable. I know everyone is being patient and I promise that it will be out during Summer. I have also started another rather huge business endeavor. This one is not going to be discussed until something actually becomes of it. I have put in many hours already and I have barely scratched the surface on it. A lot more research needs to be done and a time line needs to be set up. I wouldn't look for updates on this one anytime soon, but wishing me luck would be nice ;) I feel like I would need a small miracle to get everything done.

Quilting Website Launch

I currently do not quilt, but I am very interested in learning how to. Well this April the ladies at www.YouCanMakeThis.com will launch a new website devoted to quilting. The new website is www.YouCanQuiltThis.com. You can even enter their contest for a chance to win a Marie Osmond Quilter's Companion by Janome. I am definitely looking forward to this new website and a chance to learn more about the world of quilting. I think I sense a new obsession coming on. :)

Both of my great-grandmothers quilted and I can remember how important their quilts were to everyone when they each passed on. When you stop and think about the love that goes into each quilt you really can't help thinking of the person that made it and much you loved that person and how much she loved you. So much attention is paid to ensure that each piece is cut just right. So much patience given when embarking on such an intricate project. Each color, each pattern chosen for a reason. When the quilt is done and you look at the detail that was put in by your loved one you know that she loves you. This is what I want to leave behind for my own family.

Ebook update

I am still working on an ebook. I have not had any luck with the skooter skirt so for now I am working on a really cute summer top. The top is super easy and I think that even someone new to sewing would be able to make it. Right now I have a draft that I think will work. I just have to take it from paper to fabric. Hopefully I will have a functional top by the end of this weekend. I will post a pic when I am done.

Slight Revamp

I know that you have noticed that I changed the title of my blog and changed a couple of other things around. I thought that I just needed some changes. Let me know if you like the new look.

eBook Possibly

I have been playing with a pattern and was thinking about turning it into an ebook. It is a scooter skirt pattern in sizes 4 to 10. I am hoping to have it finished and ready to be tested by the end of the month. I am still working out some of the kinks with the skirt. I will try to get some pics up later this week.

Other than that I have been sewing for Jenna. Last night I made her a three piece outfit for picture day with matching bows and socks.

Recipe

I thought that I would share the recipe for the Milk Bath that I have in the bottles. It smells so good. If it was edible I think I would have tasted it.

You need one pound of course Sea Salt, One pound of Milk Powder, and 3 tsps each of Orange extract and Coconut extract. Mix the Extract with the salt in a large zipper bag. It's easy if you close the bag and just knead the salt and extract together. Next add the Milk Powder and again just knead the bag until it is well mixed. Then just put it in whatever container you want. This recipe makes alot. I was able to fill the 3 jars pictured and one for myself and I still have some leftover. The combination of scents sounds funny together, but really it smells heavenly.

Attached will be a card that says sprinkle into hot water and enjoy.
